• 🎧 Binaural Beats Generator

Create a stereo binaural beat by sending slightly different frequencies to the left and right ears. Choose a carrier frequency, beat frequency, waveform, and comfortable listening level.
🎧 Stereo headphones recommended: Each ear needs to receive a different tone for the binaural frequency difference to work as intended.

How the Binaural Beats Generator works:

A binaural beat uses two steady tones with slightly different frequencies. One frequency is sent exclusively to the left channel and another is sent exclusively to the right channel.

For example, if the left ear receives 200 Hz and the right ear receives 210 Hz, the frequency difference is 10 Hz.

This generator calculates the right-ear frequency as:

Right Frequency = Carrier Frequency + Beat Frequency

The frequency-range labels shown by the tool use commonly referenced EEG band names. They describe the selected frequency difference and should not be interpreted as a guarantee that listening will produce a particular mental or physiological state.
Listening note: Use a comfortable volume and avoid unnecessarily loud or prolonged pure-tone listening. This tool is intended for audio experimentation and educational use and is not a medical treatment or diagnostic tool.
  • A Binaural Beats Generator creates two slightly different audio frequencies and sends one to each ear. When listening through stereo headphones, the difference between those frequencies is known as the binaural beat frequency.

For example, if the generator sends 200 Hz to the left ear and 210 Hz to the right ear, the frequency difference is 10 Hz. The individual tones remain 200 Hz and 210 Hz; 10 Hz describes the difference between them.

Use the generator to choose a carrier frequency, beat frequency, waveform, and listening volume. Presets are also included for frequency differences commonly labeled with EEG band names such as delta, theta, alpha, beta, and gamma.

Headphones are important for binaural audio because the left and right ears need to receive separate frequencies. Playing the tones through ordinary speakers allows the frequencies to mix acoustically in the room and does not provide the same channel separation.

Claims about binaural beats producing specific effects such as better sleep, concentration, relaxation, or other health outcomes should be treated cautiously. Research has produced mixed findings, and selecting a frequency does not guarantee a particular mental or physiological response.

Tip: Start at a low volume, especially when using headphones and pure tones. Experiment with the carrier and difference frequencies to hear how they change the listening experience rather than assuming a particular preset will create a guaranteed effect.
