    🎧 How to Use This Test

    Put on your headphones or position yourself between your speakers. Press Left Channel. You should hear the tone only from the left side. Then press Right Channel and confirm that the tone moves exclusively to the right side.

    The Both Channels test plays the tone equally from both sides. The Alternate Left / Right test automatically switches between channels so you can quickly identify whether your stereo channels are reversed.

    💡 Tip: If the left test comes from your right speaker, or the right test comes from your left speaker, your stereo channels may be reversed. Check your operating-system audio settings, interface routing, cables, adapters, or speaker connections before assuming that the speakers themselves are faulty.

    The tool generates a test tone that can be routed exclusively to the left channel, right channel, or both channels. The alternating test switches between the two sides, making it particularly useful for quickly identifying reversed stereo connections.

    A correctly connected stereo system should produce the left-channel test from the left speaker or ear and the right-channel test from the right speaker or ear. If the channels appear reversed, the problem could be caused by your operating-system settings, audio interface routing, cables, adapters, or speaker connections.

    The Both Channels test sends the same signal to both sides and can be useful for checking whether both speakers or headphones are producing sound at approximately the same time.

    Tip: When testing speakers, sit in your normal listening position and make sure your left and right speakers are positioned correctly. When testing headphones or earbuds, wear them normally and verify that the side marked L is actually receiving the left-channel signal and the side marked R is receiving the right-channel signal.
