    You can test individual frequencies such as 20 Hz, 30 Hz, 40 Hz, 50 Hz, 60 Hz, 80 Hz, and 100 Hz, or use the low-frequency sweep to gradually move through a range of bass frequencies. This can help reveal frequency-response variations, rattles, buzzing, distortion, resonances, weak spots, and crossover-related problems.

    The wavelength display can also help illustrate why different bass frequencies interact differently with a room. For example, a 40 Hz tone has a much longer wavelength than an 80 Hz tone, which can contribute to significant differences in how those frequencies interact with room boundaries and listening positions.

    Tip: Start at a very low volume and increase it gradually. Pay attention to changes in volume, distortion, rattling, buzzing, or unusual speaker movement. If something sounds or looks abnormal, stop the test and reduce the level.

    Important: Extremely low frequencies can cause substantial speaker excursion and may damage equipment when played at excessive levels. Not every subwoofer is designed to reproduce every frequency in the 10–200 Hz range at high volume.
