How does the Music Visualizer work?

The visualizer analyzes frequency and waveform information from the audio while the song is playing. Low, mid, and high frequencies change continuously throughout a track, allowing the graphics to move in response to the sound.

Spectrum modes display frequency activity, while waveform mode shows the changing audio signal over time. Adjust sensitivity and smoothing to change how strongly the graphics react to the music.
Note: Audio is processed locally in your browser. Visualizer performance can vary depending on the browser, device, audio file, screen size, and graphics performance. This tool creates a live visualization and does not render or export a finished music video.
  • A Music Visualizer turns audio into animated graphics that move and change with the sound of a song. Upload an audio file, start playback, and watch the visualization react to the music in real time.

Choose from several visualization styles, including Spectrum Bars, Mirror Bars, Audio Waveform, and Circular Spectrum. Frequency-based visualizations respond to the changing energy across different parts of the audio spectrum, while waveform mode displays the shape of the audio signal as it changes during playback.

You can also adjust the sensitivity to control how strongly the graphics react to the audio. Increasing the sensitivity can make quieter recordings produce more movement, while lowering it may create a more controlled visualization for loud or heavily mastered tracks.

The Motion Smoothing control changes how quickly the visualization reacts to changes in the music. Higher smoothing creates more fluid movement, while lower settings make the graphics respond more rapidly to transients, drums, and sudden changes in level.

Add a song title to the display and use Fullscreen Visualizer for a larger viewing experience. Audio analysis is performed locally in the browser.

This tool creates a live audio-reactive visualization and does not automatically render the visualization as a finished video file.

Tip: Try lowering the smoothing for rhythm-heavy songs with strong drums and increasing it for slower, atmospheric music. Combining the right visualization style, sensitivity, and smoothing can make the graphics feel much more connected to the character of the song.
